For Children's Month, MINISO brought two of its characters to the screens of its stores at DOT Baires Shopping and on Florida street. We made two pieces, one with Yoyo and one with the brand's penguin, and built each one for its screen.

The challenge

MINISO wanted to mark Children's Month, with Children's Day on August 16, from the screens of two of its stores: the one at DOT Baires Shopping and the one on Florida street. They are two horizontal screens with different proportions, and the piece had to work on both.

The idea

Let the brand's characters tell the date. We made two pieces. In one, Yoyo crosses a square wearing dark glasses and a pearl earring, in close shots that only show the title at the end. In the other, MINISO's penguin jumps through the clouds and opens the Children's Month title card.

The production

Two characters, two screens, four files. Animation, compositing and typography were adjusted to each format, so the version for one screen wasn't a crop of the other.

The result

A seasonal date told with the brand's characters, on the screens of its own stores.
