Conference video: how to invite people to an industry event

A video for a conference has a concrete task: getting the right people to decide to attend. That is why it lays out in a few seconds who is speaking, what will be discussed and why it matters this year. FeedGuru produced the FASE 2026 invitation for the Argentine Chamber of Shopping Centers and the MARCCA 2026 invitation for Acecolombia.
What an invitation video is for
An industry conference competes for the calendars of busy people: managers, directors, key figures in an industry. The decision to attend is made before the event, in front of an email, a post or a forwarded message. The invitation video works at that moment.
It has to show that the event is worth the time, with enough information to decide and without becoming a list. What usually fails goes in two directions: rigid corporate pieces that read the whole agenda on screen, or attractive pieces that do not say who is speaking or when.
An invitation video is an institutional piece with an expiry date. The general framework for that type of piece is in the guide to corporate video with AI.
How speakers, topics and agenda fit into one piece: FASE 2026
FASE 2026 is the event of the Argentine Chamber of Shopping Centers, which brings together professionals and key figures of the industry. The audiovisual invitation for FASE 2026 had to condense speakers, topics, date and value proposition without becoming a rigid piece or an endless list of information.
The idea was to present the event as the place where the industry meets to think about what is coming. The speakers appear connected with images of shopping centers, technology, food and the city, so each name arrives together with the topic it brings.
Knowledge of the industry weighed as much as the execution. Knowing which topics matter to that professional audience shaped the script. The production brought concept, art direction, identity treatment, motion graphics, typographic animation, editing and sound.
How an invitation is built around a concept: MARCCA 2026
MARCCA is the annual conference of the Colombian Shopping Centers Association (Acecolombia), and it brings together in Barranquilla general managers and marketing directors of shopping centers from across the country. The 2026 edition was conceived as a magic act: the ordinary turning into something surprising.
The invitation to MARCCA 2026 was built around that concept and not around the agenda. It had to convey the scale and atmosphere of the event, with the conference's identity integrated into the images instead of superimposed at the end.
The two pieces solve the same task in different ways. FASE organizes information for an audience that wants to know who will be there. MARCCA sets a mood for an audience that already knows the conference and needs to feel that this edition is different. Which one is the right choice depends on what your audience knows before seeing the piece.
FeedGuru accompanied MARCCA 2026 as Creative AI Partner, and Jonathan Frojmowicz, founder of FeedGuru, gave a talk at the conference. The article FeedGuru at MARCCA 2026 tells the story.
How to produce for a conference in another country
MARCCA was produced remotely. Concept, art direction, AI video production, motion graphics, editing and sound were done without a shoot or a crew in Colombia, and that piece was used to invite people to the conference.
Producing remotely works when the piece does not depend on filming people or places in the event's country. What is needed is a good reading of the audience: the tone, the references and the way things are named in that market. If the campaign already exists and has to be taken to another country, the criteria are in how to adapt a campaign to another country.
Some events present projects that do not exist yet, such as a development or a building under construction. For those cases, the logic of video for a project under construction applies. Pieces for chambers, associations and companies are part of the corporate and B2B videos service.
Frequently asked questions
What does an invitation video need to have?
At a minimum, the person has to know what the event is, when and where it takes place, and why it is worth attending. Depending on the event, that is told through the speakers and their topics, as in FASE 2026, or through the edition's concept, as in MARCCA 2026. It is better to integrate the event's identity into the images instead of superimposing it at the end.
How long is a video for a conference?
There is no single length: it depends on how much information it has to organize and where it will be seen. As a reference, the FASE 2026 invitation runs about 40 seconds in vertical format, and the MARCCA 2026 invitation a little under a minute in horizontal. For social media and messaging a short version is the right fit, and for an in-room projection a longer one can be produced.
Can you produce for a conference in another country?
Yes. The invitation to MARCCA 2026, Acecolombia's conference in Barranquilla, was produced remotely, without a shoot or a crew in Colombia: concept, art direction, AI video production, motion graphics, editing and sound. It works when the piece does not depend on filming people or places in the country, and when there is a good reading of the audience and how it speaks.
Can the invitation video be reused at the event?
Yes, and it is often a good use. At MARCCA 2026, FeedGuru's talk opened with the same piece that had invited people to the conference, and from there it posed its central question. A well-made invitation connects what was promised beforehand with what happens in the room. If it is going to be projected, it is worth planning for it in production so there is a version designed for the big screen.
FASE 2026 and the MARCCA invitation can be seen in full in projects for companies and institutions.
